Head Metal SK is a breathable separation layer for ventilated and unventilated steep roofs with metal roofing. The 8 mm thick polypropylene-mono filament sheets (tangled thread mat) assures a constant Rear-ventilation for the roofing material reliably prevents the build-up of condensate and thereby corrosion of the
roofing. The sheet functions as a drainage layer and prevents moisture accumulation on the underside of the metal, as the condensate is drained off to the eaves.
The residual moisture in the boarding and rafters is drained to the exterior through the highly vapour-permeable structure.
